Cleaning guidelines for Kadova Cheese Moulds (and nets \/ liners).<\/h1>

\nRecommended cleaning agents:<\/h2>\n– K500
\n– Safeclean VK2 from Johnson Diversey and
\n– P3 mip RM from Henkel Ecolab
<\/span><\/p>

These products are based on caustic soda. Use solutions in accordance with the <\/span>suppliers\u2019 instructions.<\/span><\/p>

\nApplication: immersion tank.
\nThe maximum cleaning temperature for moulds and lids is 80\u00b0C.
\nThe maximum cleaning temperature for the nets is 55\u00b0C.<\/p>


\nDaily cleaning:<\/h2>\nKeep moulds and lids submersed in K500 overnight. A caustic soda solution may be
\nused instead of K500. Always rinse well with sufficient tap water.
\nAdding pressurized air can enhance K500\u2019s effectiveness, because this produces
\nturbulence that has a positive influence on the cleaning result. It also means that the
\nsubmersion time can be shortened.
\nThe submersion time for the nets \/ liners depends on the degree of contamination, but if
\nthe temperature is not too high [MAX. 55\u00b0C] the nets can remain submersed for quite
\nsome time. Rinse well with tap water. Briefly take through a mild chlorine solution to
\ndisinfect the nets.<\/p>


\nMonthly cleaning of scale.<\/h2>\nIf after a while the moulds and lids become contaminated with lime scale this can be
\nremoved by submersing the moulds and lids in a mild nitrous acid solution. Depending
\non the usage this should happen approximately once a month. The submersion time
\ndepends on the amount of lime scale, and the temperature should be MAX 55\u00b0C. Rinse
\nwell with tap water, followed by rinsing in a mild alkali caustic soda solution \/ in K500.
\nAgain followed by rinsing well with tap water.<\/p>


\nLong term storage of nets (and moulds).<\/h2>\nIf the nets have been cleaned and rinsed well, store in a dry and hygienic area. Do not
\nexpose to sunlight. The alternative is to store the nets in an extremely mild caustic soda
\nsolution, but not exposed to sunlight.<\/p>


\nThe following products are not recommended for cleaning the linings.<\/h2>\nPeracetic acid, Hydrogen peroxide, Higher concentrations of chlorine solutions.
\nThe nets may be disinfected in a mild chlorine solution, but only for a very short period.
\nLonger periods are not recommended, because chlorine causes oxidation at molecular
\nlevel, which means the tensile strength of the net material is weakened, and this causes
\nthe net to tear faster.<\/p>


\nExposure to sunlight.<\/h2>\nLong term storage with exposure to sunlight is not recommended as the UV rays make
\nthe net material brittle, and the net may tear faster than normal.
